ancestryinprogress:

Reasons why I’m so glad/happy to be a black woman majoring in Latin American Studies.
THIS BOOK IS A MUST READ for anyone who identifies as black, latin@ or afro-latin@. I will do my best to post sections so that you all can keep up, but let me just tell you know, the history in the first two chapters is enough to blow your mind if you didn’t already know it.
Californians, I’m definitely speaking to you.
